Crotales are tuned chromatically to 442Hz. Paiste's tuning system insures these instruments with perfect pitch. To facilitate playing chromatically tuned sets, Paiste has developed a damper system for all their crotales set stands.
Crotales (C6-F8) are traditional Cymbal Antiques utilized by composers since the 19th century. Made from CuSn20 bronze, they produce a clear, pure, even traditional sound.
