Dr. James Chilton
Dr. Chilton is an active performer, teacher, and music scholar. Before completing his doctorate from The University of British Columbia and moving to Toronto, he was a member of the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver's One Tonne Brass quintet, and the Band of the Fifteenth Field Artillery Regiment.
Along with teaching at the Cosmo School of Music, he also teaches at band clinics and camps throughout Ontario, and performs with various ensembles including the WCI RedPlayers, the Ontario Philharmonic, the Korean Canadian Symphony Orchestra, and with Euba (Toronto's premier tuba quartet). James was also a featured soloist with the National Band of the Naval Reserve. [read more]

As an active freelance brass player and soloist in the Great Toronto Area, Barrington performs with numerous ensembles such as the Hannaford Street Silver Band, the Ontario Philharmonic, Toronto Sinfonietta, and Intrada Brass of Oakville. Other ensembles he plays with range from brass quintets to big bands, R&B bands, brass bands, wind ensembles, and orchestras. Barrington is also a member of I Tromboni; an innovative Canadian chamber ensemble which regularly tours Canada performing educational shows and conducting masterclasses.
As a music educator, Barrington brings to the table an extensive knowledge of brass playing fundamentals, musical and stylistic interpretation, and experience with playing all manner of brass instruments including trumpet, trombone, baritone, alto horn, euphonium, and tuba. Most importantly, he has a passion for introducing young minds to the magic of music and the surprising ways in which it can benefit brain development and enrich lives.

Freddy Abu Sido

Rates: $31 per 30 Minutes, $62 per 60 Minutes
Freddy Abu Sido is one of Toronto’s young rising musicians. As a passionate and dedicated individual, he is a regular performer with many community ensembles, performing with various groups around Toronto, and the Greater Toronto Area, in various styles, from mass, jazz, brass band, contemporary, to orchestral music. Freddy has completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto specializing in Trumpet Performance, studying with Barton Woomert, and is currently in the process of completing his master’s degree. Known for a rich, warm sound, he is soon to be a strong member of the professional trumpet scene. Freddy actively tries to spread his passion and enthusiasm of the trumpet, and music through the teaching of beginner students. Freddy is currently patiently biding his time waiting for professional auditions with the hopes to one day play trumpet in one of the great orchestras of the world.
