The solid shaft of these sticks provides a traditional tactile feel of a drumstick, and allows rim shots and cross sticking to within traditional sound expectations. The bulb area is solid maple so you can play on the bell of the cymbal as well. The bamboo stick inserts at the playing end add the dynamic range of quieter bundled rods. The result is a huge dynamic range.
