The H.W. Pad Saver is designed to fit into the bore of a clean, dry instrument where it wicks away residual moisture and keeps dust away from the pads. The piccolo model is designed to remain inside the instrument's body while it's in the case - protecting the bore and pads from damage, sticking, warping and misalignment.
