In 1971, when Graham Nash released his first solo album, he was so impressed with Jerry Garcia's contributions that he gifted Garcia a 1955 Stratocaster he had bought in a pawn shop for $250. Garcia made significant modifications to become his iconic "Alligator" guitar. Fender Custom Shop now presents the Jerry Garcia Alligator Stratocaster, a meticulous recreation limited to 100 instruments. Built by Austin MacNutt, it features hand-wound '55-style pickups, vintage wiring, and unique details like a hammered brass plate and alligator sticker. The guitar includes premium features like a Relic lacquer finish, replica pickguard, and a custom hardshell case.
