About J.P. Cormier

J.P. Cormier is a highly accomplished Canadian musician, known for his talents as a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and performer. Born in London, Ontario, he began his musical career at a young age, recording his first album of bluegrass instrumentals at sixteen. He moved to the United States to work as a session musician and performed with renowned artists like Waylon Jennings, Marty Stuart, and Earl Scruggs.

Cormier’s music spans various genres, including bluegrass, folk, and country. His 1997 album Another Morning marked his debut as a lead singer and songwriter, earning a Juno nomination and an East Coast Music Award (ECMA). Over his career, he has released numerous albums and won multiple awards, including several ECMAs and a Canadian Folk Music Award.

In addition to his recording success, Cormier is celebrated for his live performances, where his virtuosity on instruments like the guitar, mandolin, banjo, and fiddle leaves audiences in awe. His performances are renowned for their energy, technical proficiency, and emotional depth.
