In this interactive half day musical expedition students are immersed in music and sounds from around the world. This is a great education resource that incorporates rhythm and sound, storytelling about ethnic instruments, performances and demonstrations of world music instruments and plenty of hands-on music making.

This program is suitable for different levels (kindergarten up to grade 6) and modification can be added to rhythm, speed of lessons and the instrumentation based on age. Program includes:
- Performance in the Cosmopolitan Music Hall of “The Legend of Marshmallow Island” and options for many other stories
- Hands-on Drum Circle
- Super Boomwhacker Jam Session
- Animal Dance Party

About Lorne Lampert
Lorne C.D.O. (Chief Drumming Officer) loved rhythm and sound exploration from a young age and has dedicated his life to sharing his passion for music with others by starting his company Mystic Drumz. Lorne’s academic accomplishments include his Bachelors of Fine Arts World Music Performance with Honors from York University as well in earning his Bachelors of Education Music that gave him the deeper understanding of children and music. Lorne has studied under many well-known percussionists including South Indian Guru Trichy Sankaran, African Master drummer Abraham Adzenyah and Nii Tetteh, Middle Eastern Specialist Glen Velez, and well-known Latin stars like Giovanni Hidalgo and Sal Ferrera.
For over 20 years he has created and delivered “World Music Safari Adventure” shows for Mystic Drumz that incorporate and introduce world percussion instruments to children. Specializing in large format stage performances and hands-on drumming workshops, he utilizes fantastical stories to engage participation and weaves musical lessons throughout. Lorne creates dynamic and imaginative constructs for learning. He has been described as an ‘edge-ucator’ because his edgy approach to knowledge acquisition is at the edge of new frontier learning techniques. Lorne continuously brings unparalleled, fresh, new experiences to his audiences.
