- Chords have bright, ringing harmonic overtones while solos have that classic P90 cut and edge
- 2 Alnico 2 bar magnets to give you more sustain and a compressed attack, while the metal covers provide more shielding and noise reduction than standard soapbar covers
- Nickel silver bottom plate, single-conductor braided hookup wire, and vacuum wax potting for squeal free operation

Great tone and solid construction
I put this set in onto my Ibanez RG550 as my original neck pick up died. I wanted to go for a different sound. I can now see the appeal of P90 pick ups. The neck has a nice bass to mid tone that works well through my BD-2 into my Fender Blues Jr. The bridge offered a nice crisp crunch with the same set up. Thicker tone than a single coil but still some nice chime lost in a humbucker. They look to be solidly built and were installed fairly easily. The only thing I found was that the springs were exceptional long for me so I ended up re-using the springs from the pick ups I pulled out. No big deal. Also, with the steel covers I think they look really good too. No problem recommending these for anyone looking to try out P90s.
