Martin DX Johnny Cash, Right Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Jett Black Satin Finish, Fishman MX Electronics, with Gig Bag.
To honour the legendary Johnny Cash, Martin worked with the Cash Foundation to design this acoustic-electric guitar based on Cash's custom-made all-black lacquered D-35. The guitar features a classic Dreadnought body shape constructed with Jett Black high-pressure laminate (HPL) top, back and sides, along with a custom fingerboard inlaid with stars and the "CASH" logo.

- Play to test that action meets factory specifications; listen and feel for any buzzing, intonation issues or uncomfortable playability.
- Feel for sharp fret edges.
- Inspect finish.
- Confirm all electronics, pots and switches function appropriately.
- Confirm all mechanical operations work properly including whammy bars, fine tuners and built in tuners.
- Inspect construction.
- Inspect condition of the strings.
- If powered by a battery, confirm it is at full strength.
- Humidify if necessary.
- Technician signs the tag to confirm that all details have been completed.
