Aubrey Dayle

Aubrey Dayle was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He immigrated to Canada with his family and was raised in Montreal. He began playing the accordion at age 5 and from there learned to play the piano. After completing his formal education at McGill University and Manhattan School of Music in music, Aubrey went on to perform in varied situations. He has toured with James ‘Blood’ Ulmer, Hassan Hakmoun (support act for Peter Gabriel), God Street wine, The John Popper Band, and several other artists. Aubrey has recorded and toured with Vernon Reid on the Grammy nominated CD project called “Memphis Blood: The Sun Sessions featuring James Blood Ulmer, No Escape from the Blues: The Electric Lady Sessions. Most recently Aubrey has recorded another two CD’s with James Blood Ulmer. The first being Bad Blood in the City and secondly James ‘Blood Ulmer:  In & Out. Aubrey has also released his second solo CD project called “Aubrey Dayle’s My id with Vernon Reid: Live Revival”. His diverse experience has also allowed him to perform with Sam Rivers, Peter Gabriel, David Murray, Chico Freeman, Ernest Ranglin and many others.

Enrique Gonzalez

Enrique comes to Cosmo School of Music with a varied teaching background. He has taught music as well as language courses in Spain and in Canada. Currently, he is the singer, songwriter and guitarist for the Quique Escamilla Trio which performs regularly around downtown Toronto. He has performed and recorded with various local talent.

Randy Infuso

Randy has been playing drums since he was 10 years old. He joined a 15 piece jazz band at age 13, which required reading charts. Randy then went on to play drums for Lee Aaron, Toronto, Coney Hatch, Tony Springer and Michelle Wright. He has traveled the world, appeared on numerous television shows, such as the Nashville Network and the Canadian Country Music Awards, and has recorded in some of the top studios in Toronto. Today, he regularly performs in small venues throughout Toronto.

Tricia Mangat

Percussionist Tricia Mangat performs with various bands, orchestras and chamber ensembles across the Greater Toronto Area. She has performed with the renowned percussion ensemble Nexus, percussion soloist Beverley Johnston and has appeared as a guest artist with the OnnanoKo Drumming Ensemble to perform with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Tricia is the recipient of many awards including the Ontario Graduate Scholarship which has allowed her to obtain a Master's Degree in Percussion Performance at the University of Toronto in 2007.

Philippe Marsan

Born in Montreal, Philippe began his music study at a young age. By age 16 he was performing regularly on the club scene. He has studied with some of the best drummers in the country, including internationally acclaimed author and clinician Peter Magadini, Paul Brochu (Uzeb, Gino Vanelli), Paul Delong (Kim Mitchell, The Code) and Vito Reza (5 after 4). He is currently involved in producing, recording and performing with various bands. He has been teaching privately since 1998 and at Cosmo since January 2004.

Mark Oakley

Mark brings a vast array of professional experience to his students. He has played in everything from music theatre pit bands to the top 40 touring groups. Mark also composes for television and radio.

Andre Mendes

Andre has toured Canada and the USA, appeared numerous times on television and in video, and has even appeared in a movie. Some of the more notable people that Andre has worked with include Steven Segal, Jeff Healey, Greg Godovitz and Alan Frew. He has been teaching for approximately 12 years.

Chris Perra

Chris has studied drumming, theory, composition, harmony and recording extensively. He has also performed many drum clinics for high schools. Chris currently plays the professional circuit with several bands and has recorded numerous CDs.

Tim Shia

Jay Sussman

Jay has studied with many great drum instructors including Anthony Michelli and Barry Romberg at the York University Faculty of Music. He has been teaching privately for more then 9 years and was a student teacher at both Vaughan Secondary school and Charlton Public school . He has performed in several music ensembles encompassing a multitude of genres including Rock/Pop/Latin/Jazz/Electronic and World music. Over the past few years, Jay has composed and performed music for film, television and Dance Choreography.
