James Chilton is an active performer, teacher, and music scholar. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in trombone performance from the University of Western Ontario (2001), a Master of Music in trombone performance from the University of Alberta (2003), and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of British Columbia (2007). Before moving to Toronto, Dr. Chilton was a member of the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver's One Tonne Brass quintet, and the Band of the Fifteenth Field Artillery Regiment. He now freelances and teaches throughout southern Ontario performing regulary with various orchestras, including the Oshawa Durham Symphony, and Toronto's Korean Canadian Symphony Orchestra.
