Materials

Each course has its own material requirements. Upon enrolling for the class the students will receive 10% the cost of the required texts. Books will be distributed at the first class.

  • Bundle and Save for Summer 2012: register for a History and Harmony class and receive $25 off the total price.

Rudiments

Rudiments courses provide students with a strong background in music theory including pitch and rhythmic notation, scales and intervals, triads and chords, keys and transposition, cadences, melody writing and analysis.

Harmony

Harmony courses are appropriate for advanced students. Students will be taught melody writing, harmonization, harmonic analysis, and structural analysis.

History

History courses are appropriate for advanced students. Students will be led through an exploration of historical composers and compositions in the context of various time periods.
