Cosmo School of Music is proud to present an exciting line-up of music camps for students of all ages. Our camps are all led by professional musicians and are held in our fully-equiped music studios and performance hall.

Summer 2013 Camps
Come and experience our extraordinary musical summer camps for the musician in your family. Each program is taught by professional musicians and educators, and are held in our new state-of-the-art facility featuring a performance venue right on site!
All our camps run from 9am - 4pm, unless otherwise specified. We also offer extended care until 5:30pm for an additional $25/wk.
Registration
- Summer Camp Registration Starts: Tuesday February 26, 2013.
- Registration for each camp closes one week prior to start date.*
- *Registration for Rock Band Camp only closes at 9pm on Tuesday July 2, 2013.
Rock Camp Summer 2013
Prerequisite: Campers need a minimum of 1 year private instruction to be eligible.
Want to play in a band? “Rock out” at Cosmo with our professional-level camp. We are pleased to present our first Graduated Rock Camp, geared towards the beginner, intermediate and advanced musician! Campers will work with a band of peers in preparation for a final concert on the last day of each week of camp. Workshops on songwriting, technique and musicianship will take your skills to the next level. Students of the guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals are welcome (minimum 1 year instruction required). Guitarists and bass players are asked to bring their own instruments. Drums, keyboards and amplifiers will be provided. Existing bands are welcome to join Rock Camp and work as a band. Our coaches will help you reach your full potential. This is a great way to get ready for the stage or the recording studio.
Note: Assessments for group placement will take place July 2-5, 2013. Please call to book your assessment.
Rock Camp Level 1
Ages: 10-16
Prerequisite: New campers only (for those who have never experienced a Rock Camp at Cosmo previously).
Dates: Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 19
Time: 9am - 4pm
Price: $425 per student (extended hours are available until 5:30pm for $25/wk)
Rock Camp Level 1 & 2
Ages: 10-16
Prerequisite: New campers and students returning from last year.
Dates: Monday, July 22 - Friday, July 26
Time: 9am - 4pm
Price: $425 per student (extended hours are available until 5:30pm for $25/wk)
Rock Camp Level 1, 2 & 3
Ages: 10-16
Prerequisite: New campers and returning campers, graduated levels.
Dates: Monday, July 29 - Friday, August 2
Time: 9am - 4pm
Price: $425 per student (extended hours are available until 5:30pm for $25/wk)
Glee Camp Summer 2013
Ages: 7-12
Prerequisite: No previous musical training required.
Dates: Monday, July 8 - Friday, July 12
Time: 9am - 4pm
Price: $350 per student (extended hours are available until 5:30pm for $25/wk)
Love to sing? Can’t get enough of the hit TV show Glee? Join us for a week of singing, dancing and fun! Learn vocal harmonies and have fun in the spotlight! This week long camp will bring together singing, dancing and acting in a final performance in our Cosmopolitan Music Hall!
One-Day Music Camp Summer 2013
Ages: 9-14
Prerequisite: Campers need a minimum of 1 year of instruction (independent/group) on the instrument they are registering for.
Dates: Monday, August 26 - Thursday, August 29
Time: 9am - 4pm
Price: $75/day per student (extended hours are available until 5:30pm for $5 per day)
Join our One-Day Camp and hone your skills on your band instrument! Get ready for back-to-school by spending an entire day in fun and engaging workshops with an expert helping you to advance in your playing ability and technique! You’ll be inspired and motivated for the school year ahead!
One instrument per camp day:
- Woodwinds: Monday, August 26
- Brass: Tuesday, August 27
- Strings: Wednesday, August 28
- Percussion: Thursday, August 29
Summer in the Music Garden 2013
Ages: 4-5
Prerequisite: No previous musical training required.
Dates:
- August 6-9, 9am-11:30am (4 day morning camp), $120/wk
- August 12-16, 9am-11:30am (5 day morning camp), $150/wk
- Children are asked to bring their own nut-free snack each day
Let us inspire your child with the joy of music. Each day we will discover new songs and stories, while introducing notation and exploring musical arts and crafts.
Instrumental Sampler Camp Summer 2013
Ages: 5-12
Prerequisite: No previous musical training required.
Dates:
- August 6-9, 9am-4pm (4 day camp), $280/wk (extended hours are available until 5:30pm for $20/wk)
- August 12-16, 9am-4pm (5 day camp), $350/wk (extended hours are available until 5:30pm for $25/wk)
Is your child interested in music? Not sure which instrument to choose? Try our instrumental sampler camp! Campers will participate in group Piano, Violin and Guitar/Ukulele classes, and will also be introduced to hand drumming and singing. A perfect way to help choose which instrument will be the best fit for lessons in September.
March Break 2013 Instrumental Sampler Camp
Ages: 5-12
Prerequisite: No previous musical training required.
Dates: Monday, March 11 - Friday, March 15
Time: 9am - 4pm
