The CDMIX3 is designed specifically for mobile DJs and club owners who need a compact portable system that sets up and packs away on a moment's notice. With the CDMIX3 DJs can play both standard CD audio and MP3 CDs, including full MP3 file and folder support, with seamless looping on MP3 and ID3 tags.

The CDMIX3 also features fader start abilities to simplify the mixing experience and provides buffered Anti–Shock™ memory protection. The pitch bend/jog wheel allows ±8%, ±16% pitch control.

The MP3 audio format has taken the world by storm and now the CDJ-800MK2 can play all your MP3s; CBR or VBR at any bitrate from CD-R or CD-RW. It is 7-inch jogdial has been improved to a slightly stiffer feel as well as a new metallic non-slip finish for better scratch performance. The Jog Dial Display is now brighter and has been brought closer to the surface of the Jog for better viewing angles. The centre display also features 45-degree markers for added visual cueing assistance. The main display can now show CD-Text and ID3 data for rapid track identification. Expanded Internal MemoryMore memory points can now be recorded to the player's internal memory for rapid recall of your commonly used cue points. DJ's can use the +/- 100% pitch control range to create new sound effects from opposite ends of the sound spectrum and also to BPM match completely different tracks.

The world’s first DJ mixer with Auto Harmonic Tuning detects the key of song and automatically corrects to the closest true key. In music theory terms, when a DJ raises the pitch of a song in the key of C by three percent the song is no longer in the key of C but somewhere between C and C sharp. This makes it impossible to perform a perfect harmonic mix.

The DJM-800 incorporates a highpass / lowpass filter, notch filter and bit crusher effect for all channels. In conjunction with the additional Beat Effects, 50 combinations of effects are possible.

Higher quality effects at 24bits make for a cleaner sounding remix. The effects automatically detect the BPM of the music and sync to the beats.
The DJM-800 includes some familiar effects, plus some new ones: Echo, Delay, Reverse Delay, Pan, Transform, Filter, Flanger, Phaser, Reverb, Robot, Chorus, Roll and Reverse Roll.
