Woodwind Repair Technicians

Due to our tremendous growth we are currently in need of two qualified woodwind technicians to keep up with our constant workflow. Cosmo Music’s Brass & Woodwind Repair Shop is one of the largest and best equipped in Canada, offering above-average wages and benefit package.

Data Entry Clerk

Cosmo Music is looking for a Data Entry Clerk to assist in the maintenance of our product catalogue.

Main duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Data entry of new catalogue items
  • Maintenance of existing product catalogue

Qualifications include:

  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office computer programs (superior MS Excel knowledge required)
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in data entry
  • Knowledge of musical instruments a plus
  • Knowledge of HTML, XML, SQL a plus

Delivery Driver

Cosmo Music is looking for a Delivery Driver for our Educational Services Division. Primary responsibilities include delivery and pickup of goods at schools and other institutional locations across Southern Ontario. A class 'G' driver's license with a clean abstract and a PCRC (Police Criminal Record Check) are required. Must speak English fluently and be able to lift up to 35kg. Please note that this is not a sales position.

Educational Inside Sales Consultant

Cosmo Music's Educational Services Division is currently seeking an energetic, responsible and highly motivated individual to fill an immediate job opening for a new full-time position.

The successful candidate will work in an office environment as part of a team of dedicated school music service professionals, in an inside sales capacity. Responsibilities will include managing school accounts in the city of Toronto and other designated territories outside of the area that is serviced by our traditional road rep route service, as well as contributing to the day to day operations of the department as a whole (i.e. order taking, etc.).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining active and ongoing communication with all existing school accounts in the assigned territories and responding accordingly to their needs
  • Working creatively to strengthen these relationships and to further our penetration into the marketplace, including the implementation and use of social media as part of the strategy
  • Periodically, making appointments to meet with key accounts at the school to ensure that their needs are being met
  • Actively developing new prospects within the assigned territories, both through remote contact (i.e. phone, email, etc.) and through scheduled appointments with band directors, principals, etc.
  • Working actively as part of the team on the school order lines to take orders and respond to customers' needs

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational abilities; the ability to prioritize and meet timelines in a busy environment
  • A good working knowledge of the instruments and equipment used in school music programs (i.e. band & orchestra instruments, concert percussion, drums, guitars, keyboards, Orff & hand percussion, etc.)
  • A good working knowledge of Excel and Word, and an ability to learn Windows based proprietary software

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a dynamic, outgoing personality and the ability to maintain our client relationships in a highly personable fashion
  • Exhibit superior interpersonal and client relations skills
  • Have previous sales experience in the music business
  • Have a good understanding of the relationship between a music dealer and schools
  • Be familiar with the unique needs of school band programs
  • Have the ability to anticipate situations and problem-solve independently
  • Have a clean driver's abstract

Drum & Percussion Specialist

The Cosmo Music Drum & Percussion Department is looking for a part-time, flexible retail Drum & Percussion Specialist. Experience setting up and tuning drums, knowledge of hand percussion and previous retail experience are required.

Warehouse Team

Cosmo Music is looking for a qualified Shipper/Receiver/Driver. This is a full-time, permanent position. Position is 40 hours per week including days, evenings and weekends.

A valid driver's licence and clean abstract is necessary. Knowledge of musical instruments is an asset. Fast-pace environment, attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Come join our team!

Cashier Position

Cosmo music is currently looking to expand their cash/atrium team. We are looking for a part-time, possibly leading to full-time cashier. Must have full weekend availability and a minimum of 2 years point of sale and great customer service experience.
