We are happy to announce the arrival of a new line-up of P. Mauriat Saxophones! These new models are a force to be reckoned with and are receiving wide praise from those who have had the opportunity to try them. The P. Mauriat saxophones are produced out of Taiwan using international materials, such as French Brass, and their own proprietary rolled tone hole process which uses no soldering and draws material from the existing body. A single saxophone bell will be hand hammered as many as 400 times before moving on in production. This process not only makes the metal [...]  Read more

  • Fabulous horns...

Posted on February 25, 2010 by Cosmo Music

Here’s one for all you vintage horn fans out there: a Conn New Wonder alto sax from the 1920s has appeared in our department (microtuner and all). It seems to have been re-lacquered at some point in its life but it’s still a beauty. To top it all off, this little sax is pitched in ‘low pitch’ which means it plays in tune with modern day instruments.
For those of you who like something more modern we have a Yanagisawa 991 on display as well. It is in excellent condition and would be great for anyone hunting for a pro horn [...]  Read more
