When all you really need are the chords and lyrics then you should check out Hal Leonard’s Guitar Chord Songbook series. O.k. you do get the first 2 bars of melody on the treble clef staff so you remember how the song goes but other than that it’s just the chords and lyrics from your favorite songs and artists. The idea is that this handy little book will fit in your back pocket but you’re going to need an awful lot of pockets because there over 50 collections to choose from including such artists as Elvis Presley, Dire Straits, Johnny Cash, the Beatles, Hillsong United and Hank Williams to music genre features like Motown, Country Standards, Blues, Broadway, Latin Songs and Early Rock. You’ll always be ready for the next gig with such a wide range of music offered in this great series and you’ll find it in Corner Books at Cosmo Music.
